Shipping Policy

HQST Solar offers free shipping for select products on domestic orders made within the contiguous 48 states. For some reason,orders require approximately 2-3 business days to process and 3-5 business days to reach their destination. Expedited shipping is also available, however, not all products are eligible for it. Upon shipment, a tracking number will be provided for you.

Shipping is possible for orders to Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico, however, there are surcharges involved. Similarly, we are able to ship internationally as well depending on the location. For more accurate cost estimates and to determine if shipping is available in your area, please contact us at sales@myhqsolar.com.

Please note, we are unable able to deliver products or expedite orders for PO Box addresses. We also cannot reroute a shipment after it has left our warehouse. Confirm the shipping address clearly before placing an order, if the replacement is caused by the wrong shipping address, please pay the replacement shipping cost.

If your order arrives with noticeable damage, please note it with the delivery company right away, and then contact us so that we can take action accordingly. If you later discover missing items or defective units, contact us directly within 30 days at sales@myhqsolar.comfor assistance.

Return Policy

If you decide to return your purchase, HQST Solar will allow for a refund for new, undamaged, and unmodified products within 30 days of receiving the order. Returns submitted for a refund may be subject to shipping costs.

HQST Solar will pay for shipping in the following situations: carrier damage, a defective product, a product does not match advertising, receiving an incorrect product, or a product was an extra item that was not ordered. For any other reasons, customers are responsible for shipping fees.

Replacement Policy

If there is any issue with your product(s), please contact us at sales@myhqsolar.com.

A representative will assist you in troubleshooting your product(s) and if any damage occurred due to the manufacturing or our shipping process, you will be eligible for a refund or replacement. In the event a replacement is necessary, we will arrange for return shipping of the old part. Once the part has been received and inspected, we will ship out the replacement. If damage occurs due to improper handling during the setup or installation whether done professionally or by the customer, then the product is no longer eligible for replacement or refund.

Any replacements due to shipping errors or damages in shipment will be sent out via standard shipping. Replacement parts cannot be expedited.

Why Isn’t the LED Display Accurate?

If the LED display isn’t showing the correct readings, you can try calibrating it by following these steps:
1. Discharge the battery completely to 0%.
2. Use a compatible LiFePO4 battery charger or solar charge controller to fully charge the battery.

What are the charging voltage and charging current for this battery?

The max. charging voltage is 14.6V and the max. charging current is 50A. For optimal charging performance, we highly recommend adjusting the voltage to 14.2V-14.6V and using a 20A charger.

Does this 12V 100Ah battery offer low-temperature protection?

Yes, it does. When the temp reaches -5℃~5℃, this lithium battery will stop being charged, and when the temp reaches -25℃~15℃, the battery will stop discharging. Ideal for harsh and rugged environments. It also has high temperature protection.

Does this battery have low voltage cut-off protection?

Yes, it does. When the discharge voltage is lower than 11.1V, the battery will shut off automatically.

Can I use my lead acid battery charger to charge the lithium battery?

We recommend using a lithium battery compatible AC to DC charger to charge LiFePO4 batteries, or else cause unreversible lifespan damage to the batteries. You can also charge these batteries using compatible solar charge controllers and solar panels.

Will the battery come with the terminals? And if not, what's the size of the connector terminals?

Yes, it comes with two M8 screw terminals.

Can I charge the battery directly using a solar panel?

No, you should not connect the solar panel directly to the battery. When charging this battery with a solar panel, make sure to use a solar charge controller (either PWM or MPPT) between the panel and the battery. Directly connecting the panel to the battery could result in unstable solar power, which may damage your devices.

Perhaps early for a review after only one use, but I love the reaming charge meter and it ran my 55lb trolling motor for 1.5 hours on continuous 100% throttle and still had about 40% left :)

HQST 100 AH Batteries With Built In LED Meter

I have a number of HQST solar panels and they have all worked well. I bought two of these 100 AH batteries for an additional HAM radio project I have. I have several brands of Lithium 35, 100 and 200 AH batteries. They all seem to work well for us. There is such a huge price difference on brands but I have found very little performance difference. Not sure, but I wonder if they are not all made in the same place but sold as different brands... Maybe not. I do REALLY like the built in meters on these. They work very well. They can be turned on and off with the press of a button. Nice, since there would be a slight drain on the battery if they were left on. They both came with approximately 37% charge and 13.2 volts before I charged them. Charging was slow but I believe the time element was my charger. I have not had these for long but they seem fine. They came with a plastic plug in the threaded posts and quality bolts, washers and lock washers for the posts. Very secure and well packaged and boxed. I purchased them on a good special price.

I've now got 13 HQST 100A batteries . . .

I've got experience with HQST products and haven't been disappointed. I have (4) of this latest model with power display, and it is worth the small extra charge for the convenience. All the batteries perform the same and play nicely with my (8) batteries without the display, which wasn't offered when I bought them in 2023 (wish it had been). These (12) are wired as 3 banks of 4, giving a total of 15kWh in a 48V configuration. I'm also a fan of the 100W panels, and have 20 of these plus a dozen of the partner company Renogy's panels (wired as 48V strings), plus inverters and other gear from both companies. Not one of the 36 or more units I have gotten from them has needed an RMA, which explains my fidelity to the brand. Add to this that no shipping or sales tax has ever been added to my orders, everything has arrived quickly and undamaged, and I cannot see why one would purchase a no-name brand. BTW, the first battery I got, which is not capable of series configuration, cost $365 in 2021, and it is going strong in its lesser role as a portable power source. This current model is quite a good value.

Great Battery The change meter on top of Battery is very convenient.

I really like this battery. It is light weight and has a handle that allows you can carry it with one hand. The charge meter on top is very handy. I don't have to carry a meter to get an idea of the charge.I liked it so much I have bought a second battery for another wifi security camera powered by a solar panel.
