Important Notice:

Regarding the low-temperature protection feature for Li-ion batteries, it is ONLY available in the 60 Amp version. The 20 Amp and 40 Amp versions do NOT include this feature.
All three MPPT charge controllers support parallel charging and can be controlled via the Bluetooth app.

This 60 Amp MPPT solar regulator adopts high quality components with maximum conversion efficiency of 98%. Low-Temp Cut-Off Protection for LiFePO4

The HQST 60A MPPT solar charge controller features low-temp charging (below 32℉) and discharging (below 5℉) cut-off protection for LiFePO4 batteries, preventing damage to your valuable batteries. You can manually switch on and off this function. The controller can also activate dormant LiFePO4 batteries that have turned off due to over-discharging.

Smart APP Control & LCD Display

With a built-in Bluetooth module, you can download the "ChargePro 2.0" (new version) or "PVChargePro" (old version) app for remote monitoring, which stores 300 days of historical data. The LCD screen and LED fault indicators allow you to check device operating data and modify controller parameters. Note: The Android version of the app requires location and Bluetooth to be turned on for connection.

High-Efficiency Charging

The HQST 60A solar charge controller uses advanced MPPT technology to quickly and stably track the maximum power point, with a high tracking efficiency of up to 99% and a peak conversion efficiency of 98%. This maximizes energy from solar panels to charge your system. It auto-detects 12V, 24V, 36V, 48V battery system, with a maximum load output current of 20A. If the load exceeds 20A (240 watts), overvoltage protection will turn off the output.

Parallel Charge Function

Two HQST MPPT controllers (M2420N/M2440N/M4860N) can work together to charge the same battery pack using a parallel charge cable (not included), meeting high power charging requirements. Both controllers should be set to the same battery voltage. Our negative-grounded controller provides protection against overcharging, over-discharging, overload, overheating, short circuits, and reverse polarity, maximizing protection against system faults or installation errors.

Higher Heat Dissipation Efficiency & Full-Load Working

The die-cast aluminum heat sink enhances heat dissipation efficiency, minimizing power loss due to heat. The internal gel filling improves PCBA cooling conduction and protects against water and other damages, extending the controller's service life. Great product at a good price. I have 6 HQST 100-Watt solar panels connected in parallel to a HQST MPPT Charge Controller, charging four 100Ah LifePo4 batteries that is providing power to a 3500-Watt 12VDC/120VAC inverter. The only recommendation is that HQST should improve the BMS on their batteries so they can support more than four in parallel or series configuration.

I have not had a chance to use the 60 amp charger but the support staff at HQST is fantastic. Response time to each of my inquiries has been under 24 hours and they answered questions that I had before I even placed my order. I wish I could get this kind of response from every company.

Bought a 60.amp hqst controller can't get the solar light to come on.

I bought a 60 amp Hqst controller. There are no errors. I'm trying to charge my chins 48 volt lithium 100 amp battery I have 100 to 101 volts coming in and 3.5 amps coming in. I have 3 100 watt panels . Do I not have enough amps to turn on the controller to wake up the solar charge controller? john Pradelski Get in contact with me.

It works after a year so far

It works as advertised. I like the bluetooth option, but do not like that you have to turn on location on app to use, along with bluetooth. Also, it shows on bluetooth list. Can someone else connect to it? I don't know...I like the option to be able to add another HQST solar controller to it. It was reasonably priced when I bought it. The 60 amp size is pretty big! I like the option to have 900 watts with 12 volts (more if you use 24 volt, 48 volt, etc.), but I don't have space for the max watts. I accidentally previously bought a 40 watt and think it would fit me better. I happen to have HQST panels which have been pretty good. I would highly recommend. (The only negative is the solar wires can get loose and come out. I wish they made it with lug connectors like I have used with another brand because they never came loose.)

Does exactly what it's supposed to

I needed a charge controller that could do 12v now but would be good for 48v later and this fit the bill. What can I say? It just works. Configuration was very easy. The display is clear and easy to understand. The device is solidly built. The battery terminals took 6AWG no problem.

To test I hooked up two spare 260W panels and it charged the battery up in the expected time. As stated on the front of the case and in the manual, the array size is limited by battery voltage, and at 12v it'll use 900W of panels. I ran it with 1040W (120VDC, 4S) and it worked fine. I tried with more 2080W (4S2P). As expected, at 12v It didn't take advantage of it. Roll on 48v!

In terms of battery types, when the controller arrived, the 100Ah LiFePO4 I had ordered to go with it had not yet arrived, so I tried with a 12v 7Ah lead acid. It charged up without issue and obviously quickly. When the 100Ah arrived I set the battery type to LI and it carried on no problem.

I have since added a second 12v 100Ah and before setting it up in parallel I tried it out in series at 24v to see how the charge controller would do. It didn't auto-detect the new voltage in the way I expected, instead it showed 24v was connected, but blinked an LED until I set battery voltage setting to 24v. On reconnecting the panels the controller got right back to business.

For monitoring, the ChargePro app connects to the controller via Bluetooth. The app refreshes status every other second, giving details on the incoming PV, battery and load ports if used (mine are not, the inverter goes to the battery directly). It also has a fairly basic historic data section and allows some settings / load port active status to be changed from the app. The Bluetooth range for me is about 15ft through a wall, which isn't great but good enough. There is an external Bluetooth adapter one can buy that may improve range. One surprise is that there is no pairing code required, so in theory anyone could connect, though again, they'd have to be pretty close to it and have some insider knowledge. The Bluetooth identifier can be changed to something else to obfuscate, and again there's not a lot to do in the app so in practice it's not a big deal.

I've ordered a fuse box, some 12v USB ports and lights to hook up to the load port and eliminate having to turn on the inverter to charge phones and so on. The load terminals are easy to turn on and off via ChargePro or the controller itself. As the load ports reflect the battery voltage, going to 24/48V would need a DC to DC step down to continue using 12v stuff.

It's a pretty resilient device and I have not managed to break it yet. Thumbs up. I'd buy it again.
